  • Digital sales grew by 5%; on a two-year stacking basis, digital sales surged by 263 percent

Albertsons YoY Financial Comparison Fourth Quarter

  • Total company sales were $17.38 billion in the fourth quarter, compared to $15.77 billion for the same period last year
  • The expense ratio went down from approximately 101.1% in the fourth quarter of 2020 to 96.20% in the same period this year
  • The Operating Income Ratio increased from (1.10)% in Q4 2020 to 3.80% for the same period this year

FY 2022 Outlook

  • In fiscal 2022, identical sales of around 2% to 3% are expected
  • Adjusted EBITDA is expected to be in the $4.15 billion to $4.25 billion range
  • Net income per share adjusted to be in the range of $2.70 to $2.85 per share
  • Excluding discrete items, the effective tax rate is in the range of 23 percent to 24 percent
